| Welcome to our "Digital Playground" ... |
First of all, allthough we are both from Belgian origin, with the Dutch language as our main language, this site is completely in English ...
Sorry for all you Dutch-speaking people who don't read/understand English, but we have a lot of International contacts/friends/forum-members,
who will visit this site. Because Dutch is not (yet) a real "world-language", this site will remain in English ...
So, you are still here ? That probably means you can read (and maybe also) understand English ;-) Good for you ... (and for us)
This website is dedicated to our projects that we realise during our spare time. Every section of this website, does contain information, news, tips & trics,
pictures and reviews, based on our own personal knowledge and experience, or from someone in our direct environment.
We are trying to distinct this "personal homepage", from other homepages ... (allthough we have no clue yet on how to accomplish this, lol)
As this will be a daunting task to fullfill, and the fact that this website is purely constructed in our spare time and asks for a continuous effort to be
completed and corrected with the latest information possible, please bear this in mind, when browsing trough our digital playground ;-)
As you probably would already have assumed, "technology is fun" for us, so we always try to keep up with the latest technology and gadgets.
In case you have some information you would like to share with us, or you find anything on this website incorrect, immoral or just plain wrong, then,
please contact us ... (you can find our contact information, by clicking on the "Contact us" link, on the bottom of this page ...
| About the different sections ... |
[ Home ]
The page you are currently reading.
[ Blog ]
In this section, you will find a "mixed blog", about all kinds of technological information which lies in our fields of interest, or just a simple note or remark,
about additions made, in other area's on this website. Furthermore we will put up some pratical or usefull information within this section.
[ Digital Visions ]
You can read about our "adventures", accompanied with our Nikon D60 (10.3 Million pixels DSLR) for digital photography, or our Sony HDR-HC5
HDV camera (1920 x 1080i)
[ Electronics ]
We do design a lot of our electronic devices ourself (nixie clocks, 3D LED cubes, RGB illumination, Laser garden-pond alarm, large LED-matrix display...),
and we would like to share our designs, ideas, toughts, schematics, PCB's and sourcecode with the world outside ...
[ Robotics ]
Because we do own a small CnC machine, we are not only able to make our electronic circuits ourself, but also do some "mechanical" automation.
(as for example, we have a 6-legged spider, designed in AutoCAD, milled with our Profiler CNC, and programmed with C on a Microchip PIC 18F4680)
Christel is currently in the process of brainstorming about a self-ironing device for clothes ;-)
Furthermore, Kris is also interested in N(e)XT devices, as a former official forum-host at Lego Mindstorms.
[ CnC ]
IWith our CnC machine, we are not only able to do some "mechanical" milling (also our PCB's are milled on this little wonder), but we also do a lot
of other things with this tiny CnC machine. (We made a scale-model of the Eifeltower in a plain piece of acrylic sheet, and also some housings for
various electronic projects)
[ Photo Albums ]
Whenever we visit something, during our holidays or just at random, I always take a lot of pictures.
Here you can find a selection of some of these photos.
[ Model Railroad ]
One of the more "fun than usefull" things, is the idea of having a "small (fantasy) world", created in a dedicated room, with Marklin 3-rail in H0 as
the lead troughout this project. (Epoc on the border between III & IV, situated on the Dutch/German border)
[ Tutorials ]
Whenever we build or modify something, we try to make a tutorial out of it, which we place in this section.
